Norepinephrine, or noadrenaine, is a hormone and neurotransmitter. It is produced in the adrena medulla and inside nerve axons and is continually released at low levels to maintain blood pressure. Epinephrine is synthesized from norepinephrine in the adrenal medulla in times of stress to increase energy production.
