Aptamer was selected from a randomized 32-mer library against BoNT-B protein. Proprietary methods were then used to select the aptamer. Aptamer folding instruction before use: Once the aptamer is in its working concentration, it needs to be heated to 85-90 ºC for 2 minutes, and then cooled to room temperature before use.

Validation data with BoNT-B by MST (Microscale Thermophoresis) method:

Buffer used for validation: 1X PBS, pH = 7.4, 1 mM MgCl2

Average Kd = 3.2 ± 0.7nM

Thus, there are typically five to fifteen times as many moles or molecules of aptamers present in a solution containing an equal mass. For example, 100 micrograms of an aptamer is equivalent to 0.5 to 1.5 mg of antibody, depending on the particular aptamer.
