Base Pair Bio
Alpha-Methylacyl-CoA Racemase, AMACR, is an enzyme found in mitochondria and peroxisomes within the cell. It is required for beta oxidation / breakdown of branched-chain fatty acids and bile acid intermediates. AMACR deficiency has been linked to pigmentary retinopathy and adrenomyeloneuropathy. AMACR is overexpressed in prostate cancer.
Target: AMACR
Target Species: human
Target Type: protein
Affinity Constant (Kd): 2278 nM
Default 3" Linker (Spacer) is 10T. Please submit a custom quote request for other options.
Aptamer was selected at Base Pair Biotechnologies from a randomized 32-mer DNA library against target protein. Proprietary methods were then used to select the aptamer.
